We offer two very different results. Hyperion commits to give you a medical grade information by reading the entire coding part of your DNA to make you live longer and healthier.
23andme scan for 0.02% of your DNA using a simpler technology, providing you with recreative dimensions such as ancestry, taste or lifestyle factors like sleep.

Hell no! On top of Hyperion’s commitment to keep your data private, insurances in Europe are not allowed to access your genetic or medical data by law from the Council of Europe Convention on Human Rights and Biomedicine (1997). Any form of discrimination on grounds of genetic heritage is prohibited. Predictive genetic tests may be performed only for health purposes or for scientific research. No insurance purposes. There is however no prohibition for insurer to ask to an existing or potential customer if they are holder of existing results of predictive genetic tests.
Your Saliva sample goes to our partners lab, in South Korea (Seoul). They extract the DNA information from your sample before sending it back to us.
At the end of the DNA extraction process, we keep your saliva sample for 6 months in case additional analysis would be needed for you. We destroy your sample automatically after this period of time. None of your data remains on our partners side.
Diseases are usually bad news, unless you know there is a cure. At Hyperion, we go one step further by giving you your chances to develop a disease in advance. This information only makes sense as long as something can be done to prevent, control or treat this condition. We therefore search and inform you only about diseases you can do something about today. This is what we call actionable information.

DNA tests all have the same objective: to give you information about your genetic predispositions. But how can tests range from €100 to €2000 for what seems to be a similar process?
Although the genetic risk factors cannot be controlled like environmental and lifestyle factors, knowing your own genetic predisposition for diseases enables appropriate preventive action to be taken.
